Wanted to ask you for recommendation on where to go to have the best croissant...as good as in France😃. I am also planning to visit Surfas to buy Icing Fondant for Éclair. I browse on their website and saw that they only sell it in a very BIG tub of 17 pounds, do they have smaller size in the store for home bakers like me?Thank you for sharing all your knowledge on your blog, I really appreciate this as I am sure many other bakers do as well!!!Have a nice day François, bao-kim FX (François-xavier) Monday May 24, 2021 Hello !Due to Covid, shops have changed a lot the bakery scene in LA... Years ago, I used to like going to Amandine on Wilshire for their croissants, but I haven't gone in many years and I don't know if they changed chefs or owners, so cannot guarantee.I can ask my friends for recommendations. For the Icing Fondant, it's rare to find, so I am even surprised Surfas has it. (By the way, check their new address). The other option is to make it yourself ! The icing fondant recipe is on the blogHave a fun trip to lalaland bao kim Tuesday May 25, 2021 Dear François, I would really appreciate any recommendations for croissants ☺️.
